Enoch Light & His Orchestra and others- 18 Top Hit Tunes 197 45 RPM EP With Two Elvis Cover Tunes!

Top Hit Tunes was one of several budget record labels of the 1950s deeply associated with Enoch Light, which issued cover versions of than hit songs on extended play 45's and 78's. These sorts of releases tended to come in sets of three, resulting in each package containing at least a total of 18 pop tunes. Additionally, these sets often came with a "bonus selections" record of a totally unrelated back catalog compilation of tracks unified by a central theme.

This record has the following selections: A1 Canadian Sunset A2 You Don't Know Me. A3 Love, Love Love B1 Stranded In The Jungle B2 Hound Dog B3 Don't Be Cruel The artists credited are: Enoch Light; Loren Becker; Bob Eberly; The Rhythm Rockets; Artie Malvin; If you want to support this channel's ability to directly produce new content, consider becoming a patron at https://www.patreon.com/budgetvinylworld today! Hall Concert Orchestra, conducted by Donaldson Hall: The Nutcracker Suite (Royale Records EP 117)

Royale records require little introduction here at "The World of Budget Vinyl Records." This is Royale 45 rpm EP 117, a classical release featuring excerpts of Tchaikowsky's immortal classic, "The Nutcracker Suite." I am still amazed that Tchaikowsky begged to be released from his commission contract because he was reluctant to have it performed publically. It is nothing short of awe-inspiring every time I listen to any performance of any portion of the suite. I can only imagine his feelings when the inaugural performance's audience received the ballet and the score with such vigor and persistence that the entire score was performed in its entirety as an encore performance. This recording is taken from a 45 rpm extended play (EP) pressed on translucent red vinyl. The red translucent vinyl, is one of the main reason, besides being a part of a reasonably priced lot of Royale records on eBay, also a contributing factor of which induced me to add it, and seven other Royale 45s to what remains of my once great collection of Oberstien releases. The Audio was cleaned up with Audacity; for removing the more noticeable pops and clicks, my favorite audio restoration software duo, DeNoise and Click Repair, are not good at removing entirely. [Original label spellings listed] Side A Danse Chinoise The Trepak Nutcracker March (Tschaikowsky) Side B Waltz Of The Flowers Parts 1 & 2 (Tschaikowsky) Enjoy!

National Opera Orchestra- Bolero - Ravel Parts 1 and 2 (Royale EP 151)

Royale Records was the flagship label of the junk record label empire ran by Eli Oberstien in the 1950s. Eli Oberstien was able to get classical recordings cheap from desperate European musicians, or in some cases, scrupulous European tape archive custodians. Eli Oberstien also purchased many defunct record label catalogs, some of which also held many releases that could quickly be reissued at a profit. Eli Oberstien was sued multiple times for unauthorized issuing of known artist's performances. However, Eli Oberstien got away with many of his shenanigans through generic fake mass artist credits, such as the National Opera Orchestra, as appears in this release. This recording is taken from a red-translucent 45 rpm extended play record. The audio was cleaned up with the help of Audacity, Click Repair, and Denoise.

Famous Broadway Show Tunes Volume 2 (Audio Book Records) 16 2/3 rpm vinyl record

From the rare short-lived 1956 Audio Book records music series, they did not sell well. One issue they had was the poor fidelity of seven inch wide 16 2/3 rpm records. The records sound like they came from the 1940s. It is great music never the less.
